AUTHENTIC CLOISONNÉ
This is the traditional method of producing lapel pins. The base material is die struck copper. All colors are created using a finely ground glass which is placed onto the base by hand and oven baked at high temperatures to obtain a smooth surface. CloisonnÉ pins are inherently scratch resistant and do not require an epoxy dome for protection. Glass color selection is limited to about 150 colors. |
HARD ENAMEL CLOISONNÉ
Very similar production to traditional cloisonné except that a special resin is utilized to provide colors. This allows the ability to match all Pantone colors. Base material is die struck copper. This process also does not require an epoxy dome for protection as the surface is ground flat and polished. Recommended for best quality with small detail. Metal borders trap each color. Pantone color matching available. |
ENAMEL WITH LASER OVERPRINT
A combination of two processes. Utilizes a cloisonné pin with selected color details being added with a laser screen printing process, which eliminates metal borders to separate the colors. Pantone color matching available. |
SOFT ENAMEL - DIE STRUCK
This process uses a die-struck metal the same thickness as used for cloisonné. The same recessed areas with metal borders are hand color filled with soft enamel resin then baked to harden. The surface has recessed areas and epoxy domes can be added at no additional charge. Pantone color matching available. |
SOFT ENAMEL - PHOTO ETCH
Good process for small details. This process utilizes a gauge of metal slightly thinner than used for die-struck enamel. This process is chemically etched into the brass metal enabling us to reproduce very fine details. Pantone colors are used and can be covered with an epoxy dome if desired. Pantone color matching available. |
SCREEN PRINT
Colors are silk screen printed onto a brass base material in a method similar to screening shirts except on a very small scale. Pantone colors utilized and protected with an epoxy dome. Pantone color matching available. |
OFFSET PRINTED
4-color process printing can be utilized to replicate a full color design that has gradients or shaded areas. Protected with an epoxy dome. |
PHOTO IMAGE
Pins are produced utilizing an actual miniature photograph of the design, which is printed on the metal base and covered with an epoxy dome. |
SANDBLASTED
For a Jewelery-like appearance, add a two tone look using a recessed sandblast finish. Add enamel color fill for a higher perceived value. Sandblast is only available in Gold, Nickel and Copper finishes. |
SANDBLASTED WITH ENAMEL
Pantone colors can be added to the recessed portions to add color contrast to wording or images. |
